Meet Ideas Dance
German Open DanceSport Championships Mannheim with new Management
The German Open intents to still go on growing within the coming years. The changes in the World of Dance, the changes in the habits of the visitors and the intention to become more and more successful, ask for new structures and decisions within the organisation of the GOC.
Furthermore an even closer partnership with the big competition events on the Globe, especially with the British competition organisers, is necessary. Only in this way it is possible to stimulate each other in order to accelerate DanceSport in the World together.
At the beginning of November 2001 a responsible GOC Steering Committee has been founded, with the special task to improve the quality and the future contents of the competitions, as well as to shift the points for new dimensions of competitions. It therefore is a great honour and pleasure for Meet Ideas Dance as organisers, that highly qualified and well-known personalities declared themselves ready to work for the GOC. The Steering Committee will make all competition relevant decisions and assist Meet Ideas Dance by word and deed.

Gerd Weissenberg - Vice-president DPV
At the same time Harry Koerner resigned from the organisation and as compere. As partner of the GOC Ltd. he still will be connected with the GOC. Meet Ideas and Mannheim explicitly thank Harry Koerner for his untiring activities for "his GOC".
